Small-, Medium-Sized Businesses Will Win with New Account Management Features from Verizon Wireless

BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Feb. 7 / -- Starting today, new and existing Verizon Wireless small- and medium-sized business customers can add or combine new phone lines in different parts of the country onto a single account and share allowance minutes nationally. If a company is moving one of its employees to a new state and wants him or her to have a local number, it can request a simple number change and keep the employee -- and all its employees across the country -- on a single Business SharePlan account.

Verizon Wireless also now provides faster, more streamlined service for customers who need to conduct account maintenance and activations. For example, business customers have the choice of activating their phone with any area code and telephone number available throughout the country. For customers who are making a move across the country, this helps make the move much easier with less paperwork. These new account management features enable business customers to share minutes with coworkers nationwide while keeping employees on the same plan and receive just one bill, even if employees are based throughout the country.

"Working away from the home office has become a way of life for small- and medium-sized business' work forces," said Jack Plating, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Verizon Wireless. "We strive to make it easy for these valuable customers to do business with us and to manage their wireless needs in more places, particularly as they expand Business SharePlans to accommodate their remote workforces around the country."
