Single Board Versions of Smart Camera Machine Vision Systems Tackle Variety of OEM Tasks
Vision Components, a leader in machine vision technology, introduces its new line of single board industrial smart cameras. The miniature 60x60x15 mm SBC50 smart camera allows to be utilized in equipment or environments where space is at a premium. When coupled with the available development software from Analog Devices and the available VCLIB image processing library from Vision Components, this machine vision system is ideal for a variety of OEM needs including inspection, orientation, object recognition and many other tasks.
Ready to go application packages for non-contact measurements, data-matrix, laser triangulation, motion analyses, biometrics and security applications are also available.
The new SBC50 features a SONY 1/5" progressive scan sensor with a pixel resolution of 640x480, a 50% faster ANALOG DEVICES digital signal processor than used in earlier single board models, 8MBytes of DRAM, 2 Mbytes of flash ROM.
The SBC50 is offered with a choice of CMOUNT, CSMOUNT or 12 mm lens mounts. It features progressive scan image capture, instant triggering, binning, full-frame integration, programmable gain and offset, an electronic shutter, and vertical resets and restarts.
Low power consumption and 9-12 V power requirement makes this smart camera an ideal candidate for battery operated applications.
