Evalue Releases GHz Multimedia Platform in 3.5 in. HDD Size
Evalue Technology, an innovator of Applied Computing Solutions, announces the newest 3.5" single computer board providing GHz high speed and versatile multimedia platform for the embedded applications. The ECM-3611 harbors an onboard VIA C3 1 GHz processor and UniChrome Pro CLE266 chip which supports hardware MPEG 2 decoding, AGP 8X 3D Graphics and both CRT & LCD dual display technology. Additional fully-integrated features include AC97 Audio, 10/100Mbps Ethernet, type I/II CF, dual SATA and one PCI-104 interface.
The ECM-3611 outraces its competitive peers with the onboard VIA C3 1 GHz CPU, powerful in performance while low power in system consumption. You can surely count on its dual LCD interfaces for excellent display ability. The CLE266 chipset provides an integrated 128-bit 2D and 64-bit 3D graphics engine with internal AGP 8X interface, supports MPEG-2 decoding and video scaling for high quality DVD acceleration.
The ECM-3611 has one 200-pin SODIMM supports up to 1 GB DDR SDRAM. The platform also offers a wealth of networking and I/O options to meet a number of different application requirements including AC97 stereo audio, VT6103 10/100BaseTx fast Ethernet, four USB 2.0 ports that are 40 times the speed of USB 1.1, and dual Serial ATA interfaces to facilitate high-speed storage transfers and easy hard drive upgrades. Additional functions can be easily extended with one PCI-104 slot, and one Compact Flash socket.
Incorporating high-speed C3 processor and rich multimedia function in small foot-print form factor, the ECM-3611 is most suitable for POS, KIOSK, Thin Client, Set Top Box, and other information appliances that require a low-power and low-heat dissipation single board controller.
