Diversified Technology announced today an addition to its LBC family of PCI/ISA single board computers that is specifically designed for high performance applied computing applications in the datacom / data casting, CTI and enterprise telecommunications market. The new LBC8927 dual Ethernet / dual processor SBC is based on the ServerWorks ServerSet III LE chipset and Intel's new Pentium III processor with 512KB L2 cache.
About the LBC8927
The LBC8927 single board computer features dual .13 micron Intel Pentium III with 512KB L2 cache processors at 1.26GHz, SMP 1.4 compliant, 133MHz system bus, up to 2GB PC133 SDRAM with full ECC support, dual 10 Base-T / 100 Base TX Ethernet controllers, and dual channel UDMA/33 IDE support. Also onboard are Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports, serial/parallel ports, floppy interface and a PCI SVGA CRT controller with 2 MB of SDRAM memory.
The LBC8927 supports a 32-bit 33MHz on-board PCI Bus interface and a 64-bit 33/66MHz off-board PCI Bus interface which supports up to two 64-bit 66 MHz or four 32/64-bit 33MHz PCI l/O expansion slots. Other features include 20-slot ISA drive capability, a hardware monitor (board and system voltages, temperature, and fan speed), and a programmable three-stage watchdog timer, power fail circuit.
The enhanced Phoenix BIOS, in a field upgradeable Flash, supports software Ethernet enable/disable, video override, serial/parallel port re-mapping/disable, keyboard disable, console redirection, and PnP.
The LBC8927 comes with a 2 year limited warranty and will be available late in the fourth quarter 2001. Pricing for an LBC8927 with dual 1.26GHz processors and 1 GB PC 133 ECC SDRAM is $3135.
