Silicon Protection Arrays offer ESD protection of ±30 kV.

Press Release Summary:

Low pass, C-R-C filters in SP6001 Series feature line capacitance of 24 pF with cut-off frequency of approximately 115 MHz, while SP6002 Series filters have line capacitance of 30 pF with cut-off frequency of about 100 MHz. Each series includes 4- and 6-channel versions that provide attenuation of less than or equal to -30 dB from 800-3,000 MHz. Silicon protection arrays meet IEC61000-4-2 standard and have 6 V reverse standoff voltage with leakage under 1 µA.

New SP6001 and SP6002 Silicon Protection Arrays Provide EMI Filtering with Enhanced ESD Protection

Littelfuse, Inc. (NASDAQ/NGS:LFUS), today introduced the SP6001 and SP6002 Series of devices which are low pass, C-R-C filters. The SP6001 Series features a line capacitance of 24pF with a cut-off frequency of approximately 115MHz. Similarly, the SP6002 Series has a line capacitance of 30pF with a cut-off frequency of approximately 100MHz.

Each series has a 4 and 6 channel version that typically provide attenuation ≥30dB from 800-3000MHz. The four channel option (SP6001-04UTG-1, SP6002-04UTG-1) will come in a µDFN-8 package measuring 1.7x1.35x0.5mm, and the six channel option (SP6001-06UTG-1, SP6002-06UTG-1) will come in a µDFN-12 package measuring 2.5x1.35x0.5mm.

All options offer enhanced ESD protection of ±30kV per the IEC61000-4-2 international standard, and have a 6V reverse standoff voltage with an extremely low leakage of <1µA.

The SP6001 and SP6002 are particularly suitable for handheld/mobile electronics such as smart phones, portable navigation devices, and mobile handsets that can experience EMI from the cellular band.

Both series of devices are RoHS compliant and comply with the following standards: ESD, IEC61000-4-2, ±30kV (contact), ±30kV (air)
