National Instruments Offers Portable Signal Conditioning for Full-Bridge Sensors

AUSTIN, Texas - June 10, 2003 - National Instruments (Nasdaq:NATI) now offers the SCC-SG24 portable signal conditioning module for load cell and other full-bridge sensor measurements.

The built-in 10 V excitation of the SCC-SG24 strain gauge module gives research and design validation engineers the power to use NI signal conditioning tools to accurately measure full-bridge sensors, including load, pressure and torque sensors. The dual-channel SCC-SG24 module also provides amplification and filtering for a guaranteed level of measurement accuracy and custom connectivity options on a per-channel basis. Engineers can combine the SCC-SG24 module with NI software and hardware products, including the LabVIEW graphical development environment and NI E Series data acquisition (DAQ) devices, to quickly create advanced data acquisition and process control applications for industries such as automotive and aerospace.

An SCC carrier easily fits under a laptop and can be combined with an E Series DAQ device for laptops, such as the DAQCard-6036E for PCMCIA, to create a high-quality, portable data acquisition system that can adapt to a variety of applications and environments. Whether the engineer requires a portable or stationary system, the modular SCC platform provides a convenient, low-cost and flexible signal conditioning solution to ensure the most accurate measurements possible.
