Wieland Electric Develops Thermocouple Signal Conditioners for Isolation In Industrial Applications
BURGAW, N.C. (July 31, 2002) - Wieland Electric Inc. recently introduced a series of analog signal conditioners for thermocouple measurement and control applications in industrial environments. Designated the dipos Series, Wieland's signal conditioners provide reliable transmission of thermocouple sensor signals with the highest degree of isolation from resistive, inductive or capacitive interference.
"Wieland has developed these modules in a unique modular, DIN rail mountable design," said Wieland product manager, Marc Immordino. "The coded plug-in module enables error-free installation, jumpering capabilities, wiring integrity and a sealed cover to prevent unauthorized access."
Wieland's dipos thermocouple housings are a slim 12.5mm in width and are available in both spring and screw-clamp versions. They provide 4kV insulation voltage with a 100 percent earth connection if required.
The series is equipped with a locking cover for security, circuit status LEDs for monitoring, zero/span adjustment, incorporated cold junction compensation (CJC) and interval jumpering for power bussing.
