L-com Expands Its Shielded Modular Line with A Shielded Side-Exit Cat5e Jack
NORTH ANDOVER, MA, -- L-com Global Connectivity has released a new modular jack, this one a "side exit" model that includes shielding and maintains Category 5e rating.
The jack is perfect for installation in tight spaces, where RFI/EMI is a problem and Category 5e performance is critical. This often includes factories, power stations, labs and military installations.
The jack comes complete with color coding for EIA/TIA 568A and B wiring, a wire guard, and a solderable shield box. The front of the jack is keystone style for easy snap-in to the wall plate or panel. The 180-degree termination allows for cable entry from the side, saving space in tight fit applications.
