Attune Systems Launches Unique Professional Service Program for Its Channel Partners

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug. 8/ -- Attune Systems, Inc., a provider of enterprise-class Network File Management (NFM) solutions, today announced details of the Attune Symphony Service(TM), a professional service offering designed specifically for Attune's channel partners. The program allows resellers to provide customers a discovery, analysis, management and optimization service for their existing, heterogeneous storage resources. By temporarily and non-disruptively deploying Attune's Maestro File Manager(TM) in their customers' environments, resellers can use it to audit, assess and monitor mission-critical information on existing storage resources for increased system performance and utilization, overall service level improvements, and greater return on investment.

"We are excited to launch the Symphony Service Program and empower our channel partners with a great service tool for the end-users environments," said Alan Kessler, Attune's chief executive officer. "With Maestro File Manager, customers are now able to search and report unauthorized files stored on the network file system, monitor storage growth trends, migrate lower-value and less-utilized files to lower-cost storage, as well as understand potential direct storage savings resulting from file virtualization and consolidation of duplicate files."

The service implementation is non-disruptive and does not require agents or any software to be installed on clients or servers. The reseller simply connects the appliance to the client's network for the duration of the project.

Comments from Attune's Reseller Partners
"Most enterprises do not have a detailed understanding of exactly how their unstructured data and file storage resources are performing and being utilized over time," said Thien Doan, president and CEO of IMT Partners based in Boston, Mass. "The Attune Symphony service offering lets us provide comprehensive discovery, analysis, management and optimization guidance for our customers' heterogeneous storage environments. Typical results from IMT partners' previous engagements across different industries (financial, high technology, healthcare and utility/energy) include:

-- 35 - 50% of stranded storage capacity can be reclaimed for future needs
-- 40 - 60% TCO reduction (cost per GB) by migrating SAN and DAS-based data to lower-cost storage platforms
-- 35-50% of (aged more than 6 months) files can be archived to lower-cost storage
-- 10-15% of files can be purged immediately due to inappropriate contents or violating company security policy

Attune's Symphony service offering allows us to leverage Maestro File Manager's powerful capabilities coupled with IMT-developed methodology (Automated Information Management Methodology - AIM(TM)) and in-depth experience staff to provide a detailed assessment, monitoring, analysis and optimization service to our customers, giving them a dramatically improved return on investment for their existing storage infrastructure."
