Overview
IBM extends the capabilities of the IBM pSeries® HPS (7045-SW4) by introducing support for the p5-575, p5-590, and p5-595.
Also, through the use of the CSP features, IBM Manufacturing can provide customization of the p5-570 and p5-575, as well as p5-590 and p5-595 server orders, to more closely match the hardware placement requested by the customer before the server arrives at the customer's site. Planned availability dates
May 27, 2005: Support of up 32 Switch Network Links (up to 16 p5 575 nodes and/or up to 4 p5 590/595 servers, with a maximum of 16 operating system images).
April 29, 2005: Support for feature numbers #0453, #5726, #6251 for 9118-575, #6252, #6651, #6659, #7853, #7854, #7856, #7857, #7858, #7859, #7860, #7894, #8453, #9169, #9671, and #9672.
August 26, 2005: Support of up to 256 Switch Network Links (up to 128 p5 575 nodes and/or up to 16 p5 590/595 servers, with a maximum of 128 operating system images. Planned availability date for Support of feature number #8691 is August 26, 2005.
