IBM eServer i5 9405 520 Express Edition -- A Basic Infrastructure for Running Core Business Applications
Overview
To streamline internal and distributor processes, the machine type/model/feature structure for the 520 Express Edition is modified.
The eServer® i5 520 Express Edition is now packaged under machine type 9405. Some of the feature numbers used to package the 9405 520 Express Edition are different than the 9406 520 Express Edition announced earlier. At the package level, all features and functions remain the same.
The eServer i5 520 Express Edition offerings include sufficient hardware and software to be a solid foundation for small or medium-sized business computing.
These attractively priced servers include
· i5/OS
· 70 to 140 GB of disk
· 1 to 2 GB of memory
· 30 GB QIC tape drive
· DVD-ROM drive
· Twinax, LAN, and communication ports
· Specified software licenses
· RAID configurations

The 9405 520 Express Edition is available through Business Partners only and is not available from IBM directly.
Planned availability date:
November 19, 2004, except for the #7885 to #7884 deskside/rack conversion, which is planned to be available March 31, 2005.
