New DES-1030 features quad Ethernet adapters with integrated 3DES IPSec encryption engine
RIDGELAND, MS - January 8, 2003 - Diversified Technology, Inc. announced today a high-density, rack-mount embedded server platform addressing general purpose and bulk encryption security-centric enterprise, Internet and network infrastructure applications.

About the DES-1030
The scaleable DES-1030 provides superb system performance, high I/O throughput and excellent internal storage in an ultra-thin, rack-mountable 1U space savings design. It features one or two Intel Pentium III-S processors with 512KB full core speed L2 cache, ServerWorks CNB30LE / CSB5 chipset with 133MHz front side bus, and up to 4GB PC133 ECC SDRAM. An industry leading four 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet adapters with integrated Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES) IPSec encryption engine provides enhanced encryption/decryption and TCP/UDP/IPv4 checksum offload performance for a secure Fast Ethernet connectivity solution. Also included is an Ultra ATA/66 IDE controller, USB/serial/parallel ports, and graphics controller.
The field upgradeable Phoenix BIOS supports serial console redirection, IPSec enable/disable, and network boot using Preboot Execution Environment 2.0 (PXE). An IPMI compliant system monitor enhances reliability by monitoring system voltages, CPU and system temperatures. A 2-year limited warranty is included.
The sturdy DES-1030 includes a slim CD-ROM, a slim floppy drive and supports two 3.5" x 1" cold-swap IDE disk drives as well as a 64-bit/66MHz PCI expansion slot and 32-bit/33MHz PMC card slot for exceptional flexibility and scalability. Cooling for the 200W PFC AC or 150W DC power supply based system is provided by a blower, two 70mm mid chassis blowers, a power supply fan and optimum thermal design.
Diversified Technology's DES-1030 server platform is targeted at OEM and System Integrators addressing enterprise network security and Internet infrastructure markets such as firewall/VPN, security/reverse proxy, intrusion-detection/anti-virus, domain controllers/directory services, and general-purpose servers.
Pricing and Availability
The DES-1030 covered by a two year warranty. OEM pricing, excluding memory, starts at $2195 with a single 1.26GHz Pentium III w/512KB cache processor, removable media drives and AC power. Shipments begin in February.
