NPort 6000 Series Secure Device Server Makes Your Serial-to-Ethernet Connection Safe
In the early August, Moxa introduced its latest device servers (also called serial port servers). NPort 6000 series differs from its predecessors, NPort 5000 series, in a number of ways. One of the most distinguished features is that NPort 6000 series make you Serial to Ethernet connection secure with just three steps.
"The security is the trend of all data transmission products", said Jackie Shi, the manager of Device Networking Business Unit. NPort 6000 series provides the most comprehensive data encryption solutions by supporting DES/3DES/AES hardware encryption and standard SSHv2 and SSL encryption protocol.
On the hardware side, NPort 6000 can also said to be the most delicate device server. It has built-in 64KB port buffer size which can be used to hold data when serial connection is severed. The port buffer size can also be increased by inserting SD card in the expansion slot. NPort 6000 series is also equipped with a LCD panel for easy on-site configuration. This LCD can also be locked up to prevent from mal-intrusion.
The debut of NPort 6150 1 Port secure serial server also makes Moxa's 1 port solution more complete.
