Sensor Transmitter functions in 2-wire, 4-20 mA sink mode.

Press Release Summary:

Accepting toxic or oxygen electrochemical sensor modules, Model GDS-49 transmits gas values thousands of feet to appropriate receiver device. Unit overcomes noise immunity problems associated with electrochemical sensors by enclosing plug-in sensor module in metallic enclosure. Missing or defective sensors are flagged by transmitting value of less than 2 mA to receiver. Transmitter is CSA Div 1 and 2 explosion-proof and intrinsically safe with approved IS barrier.

Exciting New News 'The GDS-49 Product Release'

Global Detection Systems Corp. presents the Model GDS-49 Sensor Transmitter. It accepts toxic or oxygen electrochemical sensor modules and functions in a 2-wire 4-20mA "sink" mode to transmit gas values thousands of feet to an appropriate receiver device. The GDS-49 overcomes noise immunity problems associated with electrochemical sensors by enclosing its plug in sensor module in a rugged metallic enclosure.

Approvals include CSA Div. 1 & 2 explosion proof and intrinsically safe (IS) with an approved IS barrier. Sensor elements are interchangeable with other Global Detection Systems Corp. "smart" sensor products reducing spare sensor inventory. Missing or defective sensors are detected and flagged by transmitting a value of less than 2mA to the receiver. Single, dual, eight and sixteen channel receivers suitable for calibration, display, alarm and transmission of monitored gas values are also available. Model GDS-49 www.gdscorp.com
