New Automatic Self-Cleaning Strainers with Leak Preventing idL(TM) Shaft Seal
Hayward Automatic Self-Cleaning Pipeline Strainers now feature the unique idL shaft seal that positively prevents leakage from the motor shaft at the top of the strainer. This newly designed seal replaces older, leak-prone packing material common to other automatic strainers. With the idL seal the exterior of the strainer stays dry and clean in service with no process media leaking down the sides of the strainer.
The Hayward Automatic Self-Cleaning Pipeline Strainer is a motorized strainer designed for the continuous removal of entrained solids from liquids in pipeline systems. Removing the solids protects expensive pipeline system components from failure, damage or premature wear, such as nozzles, pumps, valves, and heat exchangers. These strainers are used in industrial process, water, wastewater, power, paper, chemical and municipal applications.
The strainers feature an automated control system that monitors the operation of the strainer. Cleaning is accomplished by an integral backwash system that isolates a small portion of the straining element at a time and cleans it by reverse flow. The remaining screen area continues to strain, providing uninterrupted flow. The system is very efficient and only a small amount of the liquid being strained is used to carry away the debris from the strainer element. The pipeline never has to be shut down to clean or change the strainer.
Hayward Automatic Self-Cleaning Strainers with the unique, leak-preventing, idL shaft seal are available for pipelines from 2" up to a huge 60" size in iron, bronze, carbon steel and stainless steel.
