Secure Elements' C5 Compliance Platform Now "Ready for IBM Tivoli Software"

Integration delivers first NIST SCAP compliance solution enabling Tivoli CCMDB for assessing system state as reported against SP 800-53 IA controls.

Herndon, VA. - October 17, 2007 -- Secure Elements, Inc., the industry leader in standards-based IT audit and compliance management, today announced that the C5 Compliance Platform is now "Ready for IBM Tivoli Software".

The C5 Compliance Platform is the industry's first enterprise solution built on open XML standards (OVAL and XCCDF) for technical control auditing and benchmarking, vulnerability management, and FISMA reporting. C5 automates the measurement and reporting of systems compliance with regulatory security requirements including Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC) and FISMA IA Controls.

Now, customers deploying the IBM Tivoli Change and Configuration Management Database (CCMDB) and the Secure Elements C5 Compliance Platform are able to populate the IBM Tivoli CCMDB with configuration items as represented by NIST SCAP based audit results, which also include FISMA IA control mappings.

"IBM is demonstrating leadership in the government sector by validating that our NIST SCAP compliant solution can interface with the IBM Tivoli CCMDB," said Scott Armstrong, VP of Marketing and Alliances. "With the OMB mandate to require NIST SCAP tools for monitoring compliance of prescribed secure configurations, IBM is taking a proactive approach in addressing their customer's desires to include standards based configuration item data within their CCMDB."

Joint customers can register to receive the certified adapter for integration of the two solutions at the following location: secure-elements.com/partners/IBM_OPAL_download_page.htm.
