Sealite's Products Chosen Again for Their Quality, Reliability, and Ability to Withstand the Harshest Marine Environments

Although narrow and challenging to navigate, the channel entrance to Wexford Harbour, frequented by local mariners and commercial fishermen, comprises a large body of estuarine water located between Raven Point to the North and Rosslare Point to the South where the Slaney and smaller Sow Rivers enter the sea.

Designed to withstand the harshest marine environment, and operate reliably with minimal maintenance, Sealite's Poseidon-1750 ocean buoy was selected to clearly mark the channel's entrance. Fitted with the SLC420 (a 4-5nm+ marine lantern with GPS flash sync), the entire assembly is highly visible and easily distinguishable from other navaids and confusing background lighting, making it the perfect solution for low-light regions.

Sealite's SLC310s were installed to mark Wexford's Harbour Bridge piers and supports and the centreline of the navigable channel through the fixed bridge in accordance with the IALA Maritime Buoyage System.

"Wexford Harbour chose Sealite's products for their quality as they have been used all over lreland. Sealite's buoys and lanterns are an easily installed and reliable product with a fast turnaround."
