Honeywell Introduces the SE and XE Series Environment-Sealed Basic Switches

Among the smallest available!

FREEPORT, Ill., October 16, 2003 - Honeywell [NYSE: HON] Sensing and Control has introduced the SE and XE Series Environment-sealed Basic Switches, both low-cost, high value sensing solutions for use in applications where the switch must withstand a variety of environmental conditions such as non-pressurized aircraft installations (doors, hatches, control surface actuators and landing gear indicators), ordnance, and moist or dusty industrial environments. The SE and XE Series are among the smallest environmental sealed switches available.

Both the SE and XE Series introduce these features:
o corrosion-resistant aluminum housing seals subminiature SM or SX basic switches from contamination
o watertight seal per Symbol 3 to Mil-PRF-8805 allows the switch to withstand a variety of environmental conditions
o extremely small package size saves critical board space: the SE is just 19,05 mm H x 8,64 mm W x 22,3 mm [0.75 in H x 0.34 in W x 0.88 in L] and the XE only 19,05 mm H x 8,13 mm W x 15,75 mm L [.75 in H x .32 in W x .62 in L
o high temperature construction for applications up to 300 ºF (148.89 °C)
o high electrical load capacity (5A in the SE and 7A in the XE) as well as low energy switches with gold contacts
o choice of termination types allow flexibility in electrical connections

Specific listings in the SE and XE Series are UL recognized and/or CSA certified. For more information, please contact us at www.honeywell.com/sensing/promo/prSEXE or call us at 800-784-3011 (reference code PRSEXE).
