Seal-less Rotary Pump handles highly corrosive liquids.

Press Release Summary:

Ryton Seal-less Mag-Drive pump features gear and bearing combinations using metallic and non-metallic wear surfaces. Slotted bearings lubricate shaft and gear surfaces, and housing seals prevent leakage of corrosives. Hydraulic porting balances axial thrust and reduces wear, while port sizing reduces likelihood of cavitation when inlet pressure is marginal. Pump offers nominal flow rates from 1.5 to 30 gpm.

Oberdorfer Pumps Offers the New Ryton Mag-Drive Pump as an Alternative to the High Cost of Alloy C

Pumping highly corrosive liquids just became more affordable. Oberdorfer Pumps now offers the new Ryton Seal-Less Mag-Drive Pump as an alternative to the high cost of Alloy C.

The pump design and materials selection together provide the longest life available from the Ryton Mag-Drive Pump.

Some key attributes include:
o Gear & bearing combinations using metallic and non-metallic wear surfaces.
o Slotted bearings to lubricate shaft and gear surfaces.
o Hydraulic porting to balance axial thrust and to reduce wear.
o Ample port sizing to reduce the likelihood of cavitation when inlet pressure is marginal.
o Effective housing seals with elastic memory prevent leakage of corrosives.
o Recirculation heat port versatility.
o Containment can flush & drain connection.

This Seal-Less rotary gear pump offers a wide range of chemical compatibility utilizing Ryton® and Alloy C. The gear/bearing design allows for "trimming", optimizing the pump's maximum flow to reach minimum turndown. Special features include reinforced Ryton® housing construction and gears available in: Metallic
Alloy C, Teflon®, Ryton® & Peek®. Shafts are only available in Alloy C. Bearings include Carbon, Teflon® and Rulon®. The containment can is available in Ryton® or Alloy C.

The Ryton Seal-Less Mag-drive also offers nominal flow rates from 1.5 to 30 GPM. Upper drive is standard (however, modifications are available for a lower drive configuration). Additionally, helical gears offer noise reduction of up to 10db. Close-coupled adapters are available for NEMA and IEC standard motor frame sizes as well as NPT and BSPT porting.
