Small Machine SCADA Solution from Schneider Electric Combines State of the Art Technology and Ease of Use
PALATINE, Ill. - Oct. 13, 2004 - Schneider Electric has released a low-cost, low-tech alternative to SCADA software for small and stand-alone machines. One of the most affordable SCADA products on the market, Vijeo Look(TM) v2.5 software is designed for customers who want an easy-to-use solution for a stand-alone HMI system. Based on open, standardized technology, this intuitive software saves development and maintenance costs over the life of a control system.
Vijeo Look 2.5 combines the ease of use of a web-browser with all the functionality of traditional HMI software. With user-friendly, high-color applications, interoperable functions and advanced communication, customers will find it simple to roll out or update projects.
Available in both Build Time/Run Time and Run Time only versions, Vijeo Look makes HMI solutions more affordable, yet assures the flexibility to meet fast-changing customer requirements. A stand-alone, software-based product, Vijeo Look needs no accompanying software to operate.
Powerful graphics tools, including a Java Beans library, PID loops, conveyors and "mouse-over" animation enhance graphical manipulation. Wizards and eye-driven controls make it easy to customize applications, while historical and real-time trending is made easy with Active X controls. User-friendly database management tools support tasks such as database size limitation, age limitation, purging and archiving capabilities, as well as alarm and log printing.
Vijeo Look features multi-lingual support (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Chinese) and is compatible with Windows 2000 or XP operating systems. Communication is simplified with easy configuration with OPC Factory Server.
