SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 12, 2001- BAHCO by Snap-on, formerly Sandvik Saws and Tools, has introduced a new line of easy-to-use, safe and reliable reciprocating saw blades that feature precision-ground teeth to cut through a full range of materials. Blades
are displayed and stored in BAHCO by Snap-on's distinctive orange, self-service or industrial packaging.
The new blades from BAHCO by Snap-on include the Bimetal 3840, Carbide 3846 and the Woodcutting blades 3842. All blades are available in sizes and sets specific to any cutting application. Straight, curved and contour cuts make the blade suitable for any industrial use.
Relevant applications include installing electrical wall connections, installing heating and air-conditioning systems or cutting through ceilings and walls. The reciprocating saw blades cut metal, wood, brick, pipe, plasterboard, glass and tile. The
bimetal blade's shatterproof design increases operator safety during use.
Transparent, reusable packaging houses and displays BAHCO by Snap-on reciprocating blades. Individual blades are clearly marked with dimensions and specifications on the outside of the blade, so operators can easily identify what to use.
The new series of reciprocating saw blades are available in self-service and industrial packaging. The self-service packaging is available in one-, two-, or five-blade quantities and features informative pictograms with sawing applications specific to each
blade. Blades are housed and displayed in clear plastic cassettes that end-users can also mount and reuse as storage containers after their purchase. Blades for industrial use are
available in quantities of 10 and packaged in reusable, transparent plastic boxes. Bulk quantities of 100 blades are available and packaged in larger transparent plastic boxes.
