SATO America Continues to Integrate Microsoft BizTalk 2006 R2 Platform into iTRAK

Microsoft BizTalk 2006 R2 enhances the benefits to iTRAK users

CHARLOTTE, NC - April 17, 2008 - SATO, a pioneer in the Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) industry and a leader in barcode printing, labeling, and EPC/RFID solutions, today announced its continuing deployment and integration of Microsoft BizTalk 2006 R2 within it's iTRAK software application suite.

Microsoft BizTalk 2006 R2 delivers capabilities that extend core process management technologies to connect real-time business processes and leverage intelligent RFID data.

The iTRAK software application suite consists of iTRAK, iTRAK Lite, iTRAK EVI (Electronic Vehicle Identification) and iTRAK ID. iTRAK software provides the ability to track assets, equipment, parts, documents, and many other items accurately and in real time using a variety of technologies including active, semi-active and passive RFID. The iTRAK Asset Management system allows for RFID devices to be managed easily and with immediate visibility to the client's host ERP, WMS, or TMS systems.

"When multiple devices are on the network and data needs to be managed across them at a high rate, it's easy to understand the enhanced benefits of integrating BizTalk 2006 R2 within iTRAK," said Mike Beedles, Director, Integrated Solutions Division of SATO America.

Microsoft's BizTalk 2006 R2 also provides iTRAK real-time visibility to manage and control reusable assets and associate personnel with equipment. "We plan to further expand our iTRAK solution suite utilizing the new features Microsoft BizTalk 2006 R2 provides in the areas of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and AS2," said Beedles. "Because our application is built on a .NET framework, it enables us to communicate with other native Microsoft products, which allows for ease of importing and exporting data for reporting requirements and custom report builders."

SATO America's Integration Solutions Division (ISD) is a systems integration group that specializes in the development and support of turnkey, yet flexible software logistics systems and RFID products within various industries including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, medical, restaurant/food and beverage, retail and consumer goods, and warehousing and distribution. Additionally, ISD provides process improvement, consulting and project management services to channel partners and customers.
ISD is continuing to deploy the iTRAK Asset Management software application to clients that take advantage of the need to track and trace reusable containers, carts, bins, auto and healthcare equipment.
