SAP Enhances Manufacturing Execution Capability for Discrete Manufacturers; Announces Global Reseller Agreement with Visiprise

SAP Offers Visiprise Manufacturing Business Solution to Help Customers Manage Complex Manufacturing Processes
WALLDORF, Germany, and ATLANTA, June 13 / / - SAP AG (NYSE:SAP) and Visiprise today announced a joint worldwide offering to help discrete manufacturers manage the complex manufacturing processes that define their business. Available today, SAP will resell and market the Visiprise Manufacturing product under the name "SAP(R) Manufacturing Execution by Visiprise."
With powerful capabilities for route enforcement, traceability and shop floor quality management combined with integration via the SAP(R) xApp(TM) Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP xMII) composite application, Visiprise Manufacturing complements and enhances the existing manufacturing execution capabilities of SAP applications. The combined offering is a Java EE-based, turn-key manufacturing solution that helps customers increase business process efficiency, reduce the cost of quality and ensure compliance with government regulations.
As an "SAP(R) xApps(TM) Certified - Powered by SAP NetWeaver(R)" solution, Visiprise Manufacturing is integrated with SAP applications via SAP xMII. SAP Manufacturing Execution by Visiprise can be purchased directly from SAP.
