A new pressure manway, designed specifically for sanitary service, serves applications up to 125 PSIG. Manufactured by Tank Components Industries, a division of L.J. Star Inc. the new TCI-02 Manway has no crevices for product build-up. It is ideal for pharmaceutical and other contamination-sensitive processes.

The TCI-02 is available in either stainless steel or nickel alloys and features full penetration weld on the cover and upper flange. It is entirely self-draining in CIP applications and the entire assembly withstands autoclave conditions. An innovative hinge design with spring-assist reduces lift below 20 Ibs. while a safety lock secures the cover at 110 degrees in the open position. Standard diameters range from 14 to 36 inches.

Other special features include:
o Integral lower flange eliminates welding of collar and flange reduces distortion during fabrication and enhances material integrity.
o O-rings are retained in the cover so they will not fall into the vessel when the cover is opened.
o Gasket materials are available in seven FDA and USP Class VI materials with certifications.
o No tools are required to tighten cover, 5/8-in and 3/4-in. wingknobs provide plenty of torque.
o A variable-position lug can rest at 36 degrees or lay flat and out of the way.
