Samsung Launches Converged Network Platform for Enterprise Customers


Samsung Ubigate(TM) iBG series delivers converged data, voice, security and mobility in a single, easy-to-manage platform

LAS VEGAS, May 22 -- Samsung, a global leader in telecommunication systems and mobile handsets, announced today its vision and initial products for the Enterprise networking market, including the U.S. availability of the Ubigate(TM) iBG 2016 and iBG 3026 converged Enterprise networking platforms. Previously available in Europe and Asia only, the Ubigate(TM) iBG Series enables a simple, complete network infrastructure by converging routing, switching and security into a single, easy-to-manage platform. Samsung's converged all-in-one solutions are optimized for small and medium businesses and support state-of-the-art security function for various types of attacks.

The Ubigate(TM) iBG Series will give Samsung the ability to drive new opportunities in the enterprise market, with integrated, intuitive, and people-centric communications solutions. The Ubigate(TM) iBG 2016 and the Ubigate(TM) iBG 3026 are designed for the small to medium-size businesses or branch offices of larger Enterprises. The iBG 2016 offers 300 Kilo Packets per Second (KPPS) forwarding with up to 1 T3 plus 6 T1/E1 or 10 T1/E1 WAN connections. The iBG 2016 also supports up to 20 GbE LAN connections and up to 40 FXS analog voice connections. The iBG 3026 offers 530 KPPS forwarding with up to 2 T3 plus 6 T1/E1 or 14 T1/E1 WAN connections. The iBG 3026 also supports up to 54 GbE LAN connections and up to 60 FXS analog voice connections.

Samsung and its partners, who will be announced in the coming months, will develop and deliver various Internet Protocol (IP) Enterprise communication platforms and solutions that offer a complete, integrated, mobile communications environment for customers. By working closely together to align software and hardware strategies, Samsung and its partners promise to transform the end-user experience in the enterprises; from the desktop to the mobile device.
