New Pilz PSEN Safety Sensor 2.2 - Round Cylindrical Design
Keeping industrial devices secure and under control is assured with the newest safety switch PSEN 2.2 with a cylindrical design, which provides a long switching distance of eight
millimeters. This non-contact, magnetic safety switch is used for position monitoring and safety gate monitoring, further expanding the Pilz range of safety sensors.
The benefits of the long switching distances on the PSEN 2.2 are a high lateral offset, providing tolerant dimensions for installation, and insensitivity towards spring-back or swinging
from safety gates. With the PSEN 2.2 Pilz can now supply a cylindrical safety switch in addition to the square version, the PSEN 2.1, providing mounting variation for every installation
requirement. Thanks to its small, compact structure, the PSEN 2.2 sensor can be integrated perfectly into the existing working environment.
In conjunction with the following evaluation devices, PSEN 2.2 represents a safe, complete solution: PNOZelog safety relays and PNOZmulti, PSS programmable safety systems and the safe, open bus system SafetyBUS p. The complete solution has BG approval
to EN 60 947-5-3 for applications up to Category 4 in accordance with EN 954-1.
PSEN 2.2 also provides security against manipulation due to evasion protection in accordance with VDE 0660. Additional benefits include the ability to withstand shock and vibration, long product life, as it is mechanically non-wearing, plus simple, quick wiring thanks to plug-in cable connections.
