Ultra-Compact, Flexible Safety Light Curtains for Space Restricted Applications

FREMONT, CA - Scientific Technologies, Inc. (STI), introduces MicroSafe® Flexible MCF4700 Series safety light curtains. The ultra-compact transmitter and receiver, 1.0 in. x 1.1 in. (26 x 28 mm), allow the MCF4700 to be mounted on small machines where a light curtain was previously too large. In-line connector cables allow mounting where standard connectors may not fit. Response time as fast as 6.69 msec and resolution of up to 12mm allow the MCF4700 to be mounted closer to danger points on a machine.

The possible configurations of the MCF4700 are endless. The MCF4700 is ideal for applications with multiple access points that are not adjacent to one another, and is available in multiple segments using all possible combinations of the object resolutions for each segment. The segments are connected with 150 mm to 13 m (6 inches to 42.8 feet) of interconnect cable.

The MCF4700 Series consists of at least two transmitter and receiver segments, a controller and interconnecting cables. Standard segmented lengths from 3.9 inches to 71.0 inches are available (longer lengths may be available upon request). Low ESD models and a DeviceNet(TM) interface are available.
