A Complete Solution for Compliance or Production Testing

Both models offer the same test capabilities, the portable Model 277 with built-in printer, is ideal for R&D, maintenance and repair, or field test applications. The bench top Model is 299 is specifically packaged for the medical device manufacturing production environment. These instruments are microprocessor-controlled units for testing Class I and Class II equipment in accordance with medical regulatory requirements, including IEC60601, EN60601, NFPA99 and ANSI/AAMI. The 277 and 299 provide three distinctive operating modes: A fully automatic mode where any of the above tests are automatically loaded and performed in sequence following a single start command. A semi-automatic mode with provisions for operator intervention and the changing of probe connections, or a manual mode, ideal for troubleshooting, where each test is performed as an individual measurement. An onboard help feature provides the user with an understanding of how each test is to be performed, including reference to the regulating standards documentation.

The new 277 and 299 offer a number of other features including, storage of test results, built-in keypad & display, results available to printer, and RS-232 & parallel interfaces. Storage of up to 2500 test results are possible, including device type, location, and date. The instruments include a built-in alpha-numeric keypad with cursor and special function keys and a graphical LCD display with a real time clock function. The menu driven software makes for intuitive programming and ease-of-use. Test results can be output to the internal printer on the Model 277 or to an external printer when one is connected to the Model 299. Both units also include a parallel interface and an RS-232 interface for connection to bar code reader, brain cell scanner or downloading results to a PC.

The price of the Model 277 is $6,500 and the Model 299 is $6,365, which includes a NIST traceable calibration certificate, test leads, and MEDIGuard Evaluation Software. A choice of accessories are available for various test applications, including barcode and braincell scanners, an optional printer, applied part adaptors, and test cables.
