Corvallis, OR-Videx announces that CyberLock® technology has been incorporated into safe locks. CyberLock safe locks bring a full-functioning access control system, and, most importantly, an audit trail to safes. This electronic safe lock system allows management to restrict each authorized user's access to pre-specified dates and times, and offers features such as preset key expirations and delayed access or multiple-key access.
Benefits of the system include a concise record of events that is stored in both the lock and the key. A CyberKey® can be set up to automatically expire within minutes, hours, days, months, even shift-by-shift, depending on the specific task that has been assigned to the user. Multiple keys can be required to gain
entry to the lock, or a delay can be programmed into the lock to force the user to wait a specific period of time before access is granted. In the event that a key is misplaced or stolen, the key can be denied all access to the system.
CyberLock safe locks are offered in two different styles: one version works in conjunction with the keypad, while the other replaces the keypad entirely. Both versions support swing bolt, spring bolt, or dead bolt locking actions.
In addition to safe locks, CyberLocks are available for doorways, cabinets, and padlocks. Because access privileges reside in the CyberKey, one key can be programmed to access the safe, cash drawers, and all the doorways throughout a facility.
