The SAC transforms rugged, field-proven, Kollmorgen S300 and S600 digital servo amplifiers into intelligent, fully programmable motion control drives. This gives the machine designer access to a broad range of motor designs and form factors.
The SAC option card transforms a base servo drive package into a high performance motion control system. In addition, it provides simple machine control functionality, eliminating the need for simple PLCs. It provides MC BASIC (true BASIC language with a motion command set), full math capability for expanded motion control functionality and multi-tasking language for enhanced machine control. With its broad set of control capabilities and support for CANopen, the SAC-equipped S300 or S600 can be a part of a distributed control system or perform the total control for a single axis machine.
