Original Press Release:
Geeplus Launch a Small, Tough AND Competitive Solenoid
An ultra‐small latching solenoid from Geeplus has no respect for size. Although it only measures 12x8x7mm at its widest points, their new S1L‐0211 provides more than 2N of holding force.
Geeplus says that this, the smallest solenoid they manufacture, is normally used in applications where the solenoid is compressed by an external force and will then hold in a retracted position, without power, until it is released with a very short excitation pulse.
Ideally suited for use in cameras, card latches, hand held card reading devices and locking systems, the S1L offers a life operation in excess of 100k operations. The component is not only smaller, but it is also simpler in design and more robust than the small motors which it is designed to replace.
Geeplus specializes in design and supply of advanced actuation devices for your next generation products. We offer a wide range of standard actuators in different technologies, like Voice Coil Motors, Rotary Solenoids, Linear Solenoids, Electromechanical Clutches, Hybrid Stepping Motors, Electromagnets and Holding Magnets.
