Runcom and SK Telesys Disclosed a New Agreement for ASIC Based WiMAX Base Station Development

Taiwan, October 22nd , 2007 - Runcom and SK Telesys have announced today the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly develop the next generation WiNAM base-station solutions. The agreement will further extend SK Telesys's leading WiMAX infrustructure line of products to include the next generation ASIC-based Wave II base-stations.
By using Runcom's RNA2000 ASIC solution, SK Telesys are targeting to provide Micro, Pico and Femto, low-cost, high-performance, base-stations to the Market.

The agreement builds on the successful and pioneering partnership between Runcom and SK
Telesys that started in 2004 for the development of Wibro systems that are already being commercially deployed by one of the WiBro networks operators in Korea.
