Rotary Actuators suit small parts handling applications.
Press Release Summary:
Rotary Actuators have air-over-oil feature that offers advantages of hydraulics without traditional hydraulic plumbing. Units run on shop air, but have self-contained hydraulic system to absorb large quantities of kinetic energy, cushioning load. Actuators are offered in either 90° or 180° rotation, with torques from 47.7 to 711.8 lbs-in., and rotation times between .5 and 5 sec, depending on size. They are suitable for load flipping.

New Rotary Actuators for Small Parts Handling
Runs on Shop Air; Self-Contained Hydraulic Cushion Absorbs Energy
CLEVELAND, OH-August 30, 2002 -ASG, a division of Jergens, Inc., has announced a new line of rotary actuators. Intended for small parts handling, the actuators have an "air over oil" feature that offers the advantages of hydraulics without the traditional hydraulic plumbing. The units run on standard shop air, but have a self-contained hydraulic system to absorb large quantities of kinetic energy, cushioning the load.
The actuators are ideal for load flipping. Available in either 90° or 180° rotation, torques range from 47.7 lbs./in up to 711.8 lbs./in. Rotation times are between .5 and 5 seconds,
depending on size.
The complete ASG Automation line includes conveyors, slides, grippers, pick & place units, rotary actuators and modular vacuum components.
