Roller Track System handles air freight containers.

Press Release Summary:

Hydraroll Mark 21 Twin Roller Track System retractable pneumatic rollerbeds have limited opening in quick-release top plate that reduces area for debris to enter and foul roller operation. Roller channels are closed on each end to help prevent any debris from puncturing air bag, which is itself protected with acetal plastic strip. For safe operation, primary and backup pneumatic controls are centralized in stainless steel, weatherproof enclosure.

LAI Introduces the Next Generation of Pneumatic Roller Track Systems

WILMINGTON, N.C., Nov. 1 / - Loading Automation, Inc., an industry leader in providing custom engineered material handling solutions for a variety of industries, is proud to introduce a new addition to it's diverse lineup of automated shipping and receiving conveyor systems.

The Hydraroll Mark 21 Twin Roller Track System is the state-of-the-art in retractable pneumatic rollerbeds. Developed and patented for Hydraroll, a subsidiary of Joloda International Ltd., the Mark 21 Retractable Roller Track is easy to operate and maintain, and the improved design has increased Hydraroll's legendary reliability even further.

Laboratory tests simulating over 35 years of hard service have been conducted with loads exceeding the rated lifting capacity of 400 lbs per ft. per row of track, due in part to the 35% stronger heavy-duty bearings used in this design. Major ground transportation and freight forwarders have just begun to witness the first-hand operational advantages of integrating the Mark 21 Twin Roller trailer system to move their ULD air freight cargo containers and palletized freight. It's reputation as the best pneumatic roller solution is growing rapidly, as evidenced by the consummation of a three-year exclusive distribution contract between LAI and one of the largest overnight package carriers in the world.

On average, the Hydraroll Mark 21 system requires 20% less force to move a fully-loaded ULD air freight container when compared to standard rollerbed trailer systems. This is thanks to 21% more roller assemblies per module, providing for greater ULD cargo container support, increased durability, higher reliability, and lower operating costs. The wide-track twin roller design and limited opening in the quick-release top plate has significantly reduced the area for debris to enter and foul the roller operation compared to competing roller bed trailer systems, again lowering maintenance costs and downtime. The roller channels are also closed on each end to help prevent any debris from puncturing the air bag, which is itself protected with a durable acetal plastic strip that runs the full length of the lightweight aluminum main channel. The primary and backup pneumatic controls are centralized in an easy-to-access, stainless steel, weatherproof enclosure, making operation easy and safe.
