Cherry Launches Broad Line Of Rocker Switches
PLEASANT PRAIRIE, WI - Cherry Corporation announces a major expansion of its product offering with the introduction of a broad family of rocker switches. The new product line, designed to meet a wide range of OEM applications, includes the following series:
* SR Series: an economical, miniature 1OA switch in an industry-standard footprint
* LR Series: a multi-pole lighted or non-lighted miniature 1OA switch
* CR Series: a 20A switch with high visibility in a compact package
* TR Series: a thin-profile 1 6A switch
* WR Series: a double-pole 16A switch
Cherry rocker switches are available in a wide variety of color and in sizes to meet most industry-standard panel cut-outs. Features include silver alloy contacts for long life under heavy load, self-locking tabs, and standard 1/4" and 3/16" quick-connect terminals. Many models offer waterproof options.
Initial contact resistance is .020 ohms maximum, and insulation resistance is 10(8) ohms minimum at 500vdc. Standard temperature range is -20C to +85C. All models are UL, CSA and VDE approved, and all carry the CE mark.
Common applications for Cherry rocker switches are in small appliances, computers and peripherals, off-highway vehicles, and industrial equipment.
