PRCX PC-Based Robot Controller Offers Unique Combination of Hardware and Software


The PRCX is a highly reliable Yamaha 4 Axis robot controller that utilizes the end users' PC to maximize flexibility. Using YRADS® (Yamaha Robotics Application Developer Studio), the
user can define and configure a robotic work cell with the ease of a Windows®-based application. YRADS provides an environment that allows a user to define and configure a robotic work cell with the ease and flexibility of a Microsoft® Windows-based configuration tool. Included with every PRCX controller, YRADS allows for component and parameter configuration, as well as point teaching using data input, jog function, and direct teach methods.

The 4 axis drive system connects to the customer PC with a bus extension card for high speed data transfer and utilizes the power of the PC to allow maximum flexibility in programming.
Multiple PRCX controllers can be controlled by one PC. Battery backed resolvers allow absolute positioning, eliminating the need for re-homing, even after power-down.
