Toshiba Machine to Unveil Latest High Performance, Low Cost TH650 SCARA Robot at Assembly Technology Expo
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL - (June 16, 2004) During Assembly Technology Expo (September 28 - 30, 2004, Chicago), attendees can get their first peek at Toshiba Machine's new TH650 SCARA Robot. Packed with the latest functions and capabilities, the TH650 is one of the most full-featured, yet cost-competitive SCARA Robots on the market.
Some features worth witnessing include high-speed performance (composite max. speed 7500 mm/s; z-axis 2000 mm/s) for greater productivity, a wide working envelope (Axis 1: +/-160 degree; Axis 2: +/-143 degree) and a space-saving design for integration into compact production cells. The TH650 also features arm spans of 650mm, a maximum payload of 10 kg and X- and Y-axis repeatability of +/- 0.015 mm.
Also included with the TH650 is Toshiba Machine's brand-new controller with built-in PLC and teach pendant for easier installation and operation. Simultaneous processing of input and output signals during robot motion can be achieved utilizing the controller's parallel processing feature. And, the controller's use of absolute encoder feed back eliminates the need to implement a zero return on start-up following a shut down. A multi-tasking function allows for excellent integration possibilities in applications requiring vision systems.
