KF-Type Centering Ring Seal Assemblies Provide Improved Performance
Irvine, CA - Parker Hannifin has introduced a new series of KF-Type Centering Ring seal assemblies for improved sealing performance on semiconductor KF and ISO plant vacuum pump systems and vacuum testing equipment. The seal assemblies are available in NW flange sizes ranging from ½ to 12 inches. Seven standard elastomer seal materials offer a range of price and performance choices.
Parker's KF-type centering ring seal assemblies consist of either an aluminum or stainless steel centering ring, with an integral elastomer o-ring seal. The o-ring provides conformability for static sealing, while the centering ring holds the seal in correct position against mating flanges. The centering ring seal assemblies are secured by a clamp acting on the outer flange surface.
Each standard Parker o-ring seal material provides excellent resistance to compression set. Seal material choices include nitrile, for moderate temperatures to 250°F (121°C); fluorocarbon, for moderate chemistries up to 400°F (204°C); and Parker's Parofluor ULTRA(TM) perfluorinated elastomers, for high purity, aggressive chemistries and temperatures up to 608°F (320°C).
