RF Coaxial Connectors feature microminiature design.

Press Release Summary:

Series DFC MMCX 25-00X, 25-10X, and 25-30X include 360° rotational positive locking mechanism and non-slotted outer conductor designed for up to 6 GHz. Both plug and jack are available in edge mount, straight PCB mount, and SMT including straight and right angle configurations. Suited for automotive, M2M Telemetry, 3G, and GPS applications, 50 ohm connectors are in compliance with RoHS requirements, delivering VSWR less than 1.25 and insertion loss of -0.25 dB.

Original Press Release:

Not Just Miniature, MMCX Designed for Cost-Effectiveness

The DFC range is the latest addition to the line-up of MMCX microminiature coax connectors from Aliner. In the RF world, smaller size and higher frequency typically translate into better value As such, Aliner MMCX microminiature coax connectors have become a de facto standard RF interface for engineers worldwide since the 1990s thanks to their small size, 360 degree rotational, positive locking mechanism and low RF leakage of "non-slotted" outer conductor designed up to 6GHz.

Today, having a fine-crafted RF connector is just not enough. Customers often demand the most competitive deal along with flexible volume at the shortest lead time. Backed by strong demands for more cost competitive MMCX, Aliner has redesigned its 25-00X, 25-10X and 25-30X series, now officially called the DFC MMCX lines (designed for cost-effectiveness). Aliner Global Strategic Marketing Director, Daniel Wu, explains: "70% of the MMCX cost lies in the initial design and its process technology". "To draw economies of scale, our new strategy must help our customers to further lower their time cost and piece rate. Aliner's latest line of precision multi-axed Tornos and Cincom CNCs play a critical role in achieving that goal."

With cost efficiency as the blueprint, Aliner's DFC MMCX serves as the ideal choice for OEMs who need to shorten both time to market and time to volume. Wu adds: "Despite the rising price of copper, the changes we have implemented will result in enhanced services for both our immediate and end customers". "Since 25-00X, 25-10X and 25-30X series are altered both in designs and process technologies, not only could Aliner produce them at the lowest cost, but also quality parts at a just-in-time fashion".

"We were extremely excited when our RF engineers and machine masters announced at Aliner's 2004 semi-annually contest for continuous improvement that they could now produce MMCX at a cost 25% lower than our counterparts in both Europe and the US!" shared enthusiastically by Aliner chief manufacturing coordinator Kun Mu Chen.

More specifically, the Aliner 25-00X, 25-10X and 25-30X cover current engineering design choices for Automotives, M2M Telemetry, 3G and GPS applications. Both plug and jack are available in edge mount, straight PCB mount and SMT including straight & right angle configurations for popular cable sizes. All the 50ohm connectors in the series are in compliance with RoHS requirements, delivering VSWR less than 1.25, insertion loss of -0.25dB and durability of greater than 1350 mating cycles. To satisfy the demands of modern production facilities, the DFC MMCX series can be delivered in tray/reel packaging for high volume pick-and-place manufacturing.

Aliner's preferred EMS /OEM partners have started taking advantage of Aliner DFC MMCX series in various mobile consumer electronics including GPS PDA, Bluetooth receivers, PC notebook and GSM/GPRS modules worldwide.
