Rex Plastics Now Offering 3D Printed Prototypes

Rex Plastics is proud to announce that they now offer 3D printed prototypes as part of their product development program. Their new equipment is capable of 28-micron, high-resolution printing of rigid opaque material with a tensile strength higher than ABS, and a 240 x 200 x 150 mm (9.45 x 7.87 x 5.9 in) tray size.

It is ideal for product and industrial designers and engineers looking to produce highly accurate models for visual aids, fit and assembly testing and functional applications. Models produced can be painted, drilled, machined, uses as a mold or for vacuum forming.

"With the addition of our printer, a customer can now literally bring hand sketches of an idea to us, and come out the other end ready to distribute with their idea never leaving our facility." says Rich Clark, company president.
