Retainment System provides soil stabilization.

Press Release Summary:

EARTH SET modules retain soil alongside motorways and rail cuttings, controlling water runoff and preventing riffling and erosion. They function by clipping ~1.3 m² sections together, which overlap similarly to roofing tiles. Front face is perforated with multiple rows of holes to allow controlled flow of water passing down array of modules. Individual modules are each held in place by two 600 mm D10 steel stakes.

EARTH SET Soil Stabilisation Technology

EARTH SET is a new patented system of soil retainment. Can be used on banks to retain soil alongside motorways and rail cuttings, can also be used in new subdivisions where the underlying substrate is an unsatisfactory growth substrate such as dense clay, pumice etc. EARTH SET controls water runoff and prevents riffling and erosion. Can be used around water supplies and riverbanks to prevent pollution of water by runoff particles. Can also be used at flume outlets to prevent errosion. EARTH SET modules function by clipping (approx) 1.3M2 sections together which overlap in a similar fashion to tiles on a roof. The front face (150mm height) is perforated with multiple rows of holes to allow controlled flow of water passing down the array of modules. EARTH SET individual modules are held in place by 600mm D10 steel stakes (Two per unit). THe fixing method allow an array to be placed over rocky substrates as the modulwes interlock. EARTH SET modules are quick to install and are cost erffective, they can be chained together in a row (To slow a stream) or the array can be fanned in or out down a bank.

We would be happy to license international manufacturers or supply (they pack flat) ex New Zealand. Life expectancy is 30-50 years after installation in plain galvanised steel. Can also be supplioed in green powdercoated steel where asthetic criteria important. These units have been trialed here in New Zealand over the last two years. For complete information contact us.
