New Reporting Tool, Projected Rapid Reports, Launched

Europe's only Oracle Projects consultancy launches new Oracle reporting tool

16 April, 2009: Projected Consulting, a leading provider of consultancy and training services for Oracle Enterprise Project Management applications and Europe's only specialist Oracle Projects (OP) consultancy, has today launched Projected Rapid Reports, an innovative new reporting tool. Fully integrated into Oracle eBusiness Suite using the Oracle Applications Framework (OAF) and Oracle XML Publisher, Projected Rapid Reports will deliver clear and concise operational reporting on 11i environments.

Projected Rapid Reports will produce well formatted and correctly sized Excel spreadsheets. Each workbook can potentially contain multiple worksheets, allowing various operational reports to be produced and delivered on-demand by functional consultants, system implementers and central finance without the need for technical assistance.

The new reporting tool has been implemented as a custom eBusiness Suite Application with components written using a variety of technologies, including SQL, PL/SQL, Java, Oracle Applications Framework and XML Publisher.

Donna Butchart, managing director of Projected Consulting comments, "The development team has spent 18 months designing and testing Projected Rapid Reports. The result is a reporting solution that allows users to quickly and easily produce well presented reports across all Oracle Applications. The new reporting tool is ideal for validating the results of systems testing to support problem diagnosis and resolution or to support data migration teams to extract data and gather migration images of database tables."

Butchart continues, "Once SQL has been developed and tested using a tool like Oracle SQL/Developer, the code can be copied into a new Rapid Report and made available to the end user community as a concurrent request. Role-based security ensures only those with the relevant responsibility can run the reports. We also have report packs available, based on the most popular code."
