Sonsub to Unveil New Thunder Horse Innovator® ROV
Houston, (May 4, 2004): This year at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), Sonsub will be unveiling its much-anticipated Thunder Horse Innovator® ROV. The new ultra deepwater ROV combines many of the existing features of Sonsub's powerful and reliable Innovator® technology, with upgrades including integrated multi-beam sonar, High Intensity Discharge (HID) Lighting, carbon fiber pressure vessel and a number of buoyancy upgrades. The most significant upgrade to the ROV package is the new Multitasking Tether Management System (TMS). The TMS has been engineered to function as a staging platform for many subsea interfaced tooling and equipment - eliminating the need for costly trips to the surface.
