Karl Storz TechnoPack X(TM) Features Advanced Laser Measuring For Remote Visual Inspection
Karl Storz Inc. has introduced TechnoPack X(TM), a complete remote visual inspection (RVI) system that offers a wide range of innovative design features, including the LaserTrue(TM) laser measuring system and Clearview Technology(TM).
The TechnoPack X(TM) system can be rolled right to the worksite. Everything, including the videoscope is connected and ready for use. Just open the case and the keyboard with mouse and SVGA big-screen monitor raise into position. Along with the monitor and keyboard, TechnoPack X(TM) holds the new TechnoPack II(TM) CCU/light source, and a range of inspection instruments.
TechnoPack X(TM) is the first RVI system to incorporate a laser measuring system. The LaserTrue(TM) laser measuring system provides measurement on demand. Just turn it on to instantly project the laser through the scope onto the workpiece. You set two points on the screen and everything else is automatic. Measurement is displayed on the screen and can be stored with the image. All measurements are made on full-screen images with twice the resolution of half-screen images. LaserTrue(TM) can be used as a "live" laser comparator for fast, on screen evaluation.
The heart of the new system is the TechnoPack II(TM) that can operate a wide range of videoscopes. By attaching a CCD camera you can capture images from Karl Storz and other manufacturers' fiberscopes and borescopes. The advanced digital processor's Instant Recognition(TM) feature identifies which videoscope or camera is connected to the TechnoPack II(TM) and automatically adjusts to maximize image quality. This allows you to use any scope in your inventory while maintaining the highest possible resolution.
Clearview Technology(TM) maximizes image resolution and delivers large, full-screen images for inspecting and measuring. Image filters optimize video and fiber images. In fiberscope images the interstitial (pixel) pattern can be eliminated to optimize the resolution.
TechnoPack II(TM) is equipped with both PCMCIA cards and floppy disc drives for image storage and transfer. The TechnoPack II(TM) can be removed from the case and operated as a stand-alone DC powered unit.
