Toshiba Teli Remote Head Camera Suited For Applications When Mounting Space Is Limited
IRVINE, CA, April 7, 2006 - Toshiba Teli America, Inc., the North American subsidiary of Toshiba Teli Corporation, today announced the availability of the CS3821D, a remote-head monochrome camera purpose-engineered for vision applications where mounting space is restricted, or a lightweight camera is needed.
Industrial grade ruggedness, 60 frame-per-second (FPS) output at full VGA resolution (659 x 494), and the capability to mount the 17mm (diameter) x 36mm (L) remote head up to two meters away from the control unit qualifies the CS3821D for assembly line inspection, gauging, identification and alignment applications, as well as for movement tasks when the remote head is mounted on the end of a robot arm, a positioning stage or a gantry.
An advanced progressive scan 1/3" CCD with square pixels along with double-speed technology makes it possible for the CS3821D to output at extremely high frame rates while maintaining an impressive 52dB S/N ratio and minimum subject illumination of 4 @ F1.4. Switching to 2:1 interlace mode readout enables frame rates up to 120 FPS ( option ).
The camera uses standard analog 1V p-p video output so it is compatible with a broad range of standard frame grabber boards to produce a competitively priced, complete system.
