REGO-FIX to Showcase Wide Variety of Products at WESTEC

Indianapolis, Indiana, January 3, 2007 - The industry standard in toolholding will be on display at WESTEC 2007, as REGO-FIX features the powRgrip® collet system in booth #2428. The revolutionary system will be shown alongside the REGO-FIX ER Collet System and the REGO-FIX Swiss Screw Cylindrical Holders at the WESTEC 2007 Exposition and Conference from March 27 - 30 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The REGO-FIX powRgrip® collet system utilizes a toolholder and collet that are joined through the application of six tons of clamping force. Where other clamping systems rely on heat and hydraulics to expand materials, the powRgrip® uses the mechanical properties of the holder material to generate a tremendous gripping force with a run-out below 0.0001." Designed with easy operation and functionality in mind, the system can press in a tool or remove it from the holder in less than 10 seconds. Additionally, by avoiding the use of processes relying on high levels of heat, the system allows tools to be handled safely and immediately after a tool change.

REGO-FIX will also showcase its innovative and flexible ER collet system, which achieved the status of DIN standard 6499 in 1993. It is the most widely used and accepted clamping system in the world and is ideal for a variety of machining applications including boring, milling, reaming, tapping, and grinding. The REGO-FIX ER collet system is available in two levels of precision, standard and ultra-precision (UP). Both levels range from the ER 8 to the ER 50 series and are available in standard and metric sizes. This broad selection of ER collets can accurately clamp tool shanks ranging from 0.2mm (0.0079") up to 34.0mm (1.3386").

Visitors to booth #2428 will also the see the REGO-FIX Swiss screw cylindrical holders, which are ideal for small machining. The holders come in a broad range of sizes (ER 8M - ER 40) and can be combined with other holders to extend cutting tools for various applications. The REGO-FIX cylindrical holders are manufactured under tight tolerances and offer superior run-out of .001" to provide better cutting results and repeatability. Furthermore, they are compatible with the company's ER collets and designed for various automatic machines including Swiss type turning centers. Each cylindrical holder has a distinct product marking to help reduce tool selection errors, as well as a lot number for product traceability.
