REGO-FIX to Showcase powRgrip® PG Collet System at WESTEC

Indianapolis, Indiana, February 5, 2008 - REGO-FIX will display an innovative lineup of toolholding solutions at WESTEC 2008. Among the featured products in booth #2428 is the powRgrip® PG 32 collet system, the new industry standard for toolholding. Designed to provide a greater clamping range for its customers, the powRgrip PG 32 collet system will be on display from March 31 - April 3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Unmatched in the industry, REGO-FIX's revolutionary powRgrip PG 32 system uses a toolholder and collet to generate the highest clamping force in the industry - higher than any shrink-fit holder - while still maintaining a T.I.R of less than 0.0001".

The powRgrip PG 32 also gives customers the ability to clamp tool shanks ranging up to 1" in diameter, an increase from the previous maximum clamping capacity of .75". The toolholding system is ideal for high speed machining applications, and offers an extensive taper selection, including CAT, BT, HSK and TC versions. Like all powRgrip toolholders, the PG 32 is balanced by design, improving part quality and surface finish, and lowering manufacturing costs.

The PG 32 collet is inserted into the holder using a table-top mini-press that generates nine tons of force. Available in both metric and inch diameters up to 1" (25mm), the system relies on the interference between the holder and collet to create its clamping force.

REGO-FIX offers a comprehensive line of HSK holders in a variety of forms and sizes that are compatible with the company's ER collet and powRgrip systems. Manufactured per DIN standard 69893, REGO-FIX HSK toolholders are balanced by design to G2.5 at 25,000 RPM, making them ideal for high speed machining applications. REGO-FIX offers a comprehensive line of HSK holders in a variety of forms and sizes, and is compatible with the company's ER collet and powRgrip systems. Additionally, REGO-FIX HSK toolholders seamlessly integrate with all REGO-FIX components, including Hi-Q balancing rings, for superior balance and unmatched TIR accuracy.

Also featured in booth #2428 is the REGO-FIX balancing ring system, which allows standard toolholders to be upgraded at any time. Without the use of tools or weighted balls, the balancing ring system is able to balance the toolholder and assembly up to 42,000 RPM at any G-rating. Additionally, its uninhibited design enables the rings to rotate a full 360 degrees for infinitely adjustable weight distribution. REGO-FIX balancing rings are a cost-effective solution for users seeking extended tool and spindle bearing life, improved surface finish, and increased chip load.
