REGO-FIX to Feature Revolutionary Collet System at MD&M West

Indianapolis, Indiana, January 3, 2007 -- REGO-FIX, whose products offer unmatched precision, balancing, and tool life, will feature the new industry standard for toolholding at the Medical Design & Manufacturing West 2007 Exposition. The REGO-FIX powRgrip® collet system, REGO-FIX ER Collet System, and REGO-FIX Swiss Screw cylindrical holders will be on display in booth #2819 between February 13 - 15 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

The REGO-FIX powRgrip® collet system is revolutionary, utilizing a toolholder and collet that are joined through six tons of clamping force. Most clamp systems in the industry use heat and hydraulics to expand materials, but the powRgrip® uses the mechanical properties of the holder material to generate an extraordinary gripping force with a run-out below 0.0001." Efficient operation and ease-of-use provide added benefit, as the system can press in a tool or remove it from the holder in less than 10 seconds. Furthermore, the system's avoidance of processes relying on high levels of heat allows users to handle tools safely and immediately after a tool change.

Also featured at MD&M West will be the REGO-FIX ER collet system, which is the most widely used and accepted clamping system in the world. The system achieved the status of DIN standard 6499 in 1993 and is ideal for a variety of machining applications including boring, milling, reaming, tapping, and grinding. The innovative and flexible REGO-FIX ER collet system is available in both standard and ultra-precision (UP) with both levels available in standard and metric sizes. There is also a broad selection of ER collets available that can accurately clamp tool shanks ranging from 0.2mm (0.0079") up to 34.0mm (1.3386").

Another revolutionary product appearing in booth 2876 will be the REGO-FIX Swiss Screw cylindrical holder. The REGO-FIX cylindrical holders are manufactured under tight tolerances and offer superior run-out of .001" to provide ideal cutting results and repeatability. Additionally, they are compatible with the company's ER collets and designed for various automatic machines including Swiss type turning centers. Each cylindrical holder has a distinct product marking to help reduce tool selection errors, as well as a lot number for product traceability. Ideal for small machining, the holders come in a broad range of sizes (ER 8M - ER 40) and can be combined with other holders to extend cutting tools for various applications.
