Cylindrical Reed Sensor Module Design Fits Many Applications
A new series of magnetically operated reed proximity switches housed in a very small cylindrical module that can be mounted almost anywhere is being introduced by MEDER electronic Inc. of Mashpee, Massachusetts.
MEDER MK20 Series Cylindrical Reed Sensors are magnetically operated reed proximity switches that are designed to be mounted on virtually any fixed surface so that the actuating magnet is on the moving surface. Featuring three versions with 10-15, 15-20, and 20-25 AT magnetic sensitivity, these tiny sensors are ideally suited for a wide range of positioning, limiting, level sensing, and counting applications in a variety of environments.
Potted inside a plastic case and supplied with a choice of cable and termination options, MEDER MK20 Series Cylindrical Reed Sensors measure only 0.118" O.D. by 0.335" long. These devices have a 5W contact rating, 175VDC or VAC peak switching voltage, 0.25A switching current, 0.5A carry current, and 300mohm static contact resistance at w/0.5V and 10mA. Typical uses include water level detection in appliances and industrial equipment.
