Red Wing Software Releases TurningPoint(TM) 4.0 for Improved Reporting and Sales Management

Red Wing, MN - August 31, 2005 - Red Wing Software, Inc. announced an October 27, 2005 version update release of TurningPoint, their premier modular accounting software package for mid-sized businesses. TurningPoint Version 4.0 expands the system's reporting capabilities and enhances invoicing and order entry benefits. A significant number of report enhancements are found in the Accounts Receivable, Order Entry, and Inventory modules. For profit center management, Cost of Goods Sold tracking was added to the Sales Category setup, which allows reporting on profit centers with sales and corresponding cost of good sold amounts. Commission reports, Aged Receivables reports, Pick Tickets, Packing Slips, and the Inventory Stock Status Report now offer the user greater flexibility to format the information needed. A new salesperson selection range makes it easier for individual sales staff to produce personalized Sales Order reports.
Users will find timesaving benefits in Invoice Entry and Order Entry, including defaults. One saves the last entered invoice date and discount type and another saves the quantity of copies needed when printing multiple invoice copies. The number of steps required to void an invoice is also reduced. Companies can feel more secure in requesting credit card information over the telephone with the new option to include security codes on the payment and deposit screens.
Other enhancements include the ability to print a quick, one-time check without setting up a vendor and more efficient tracking of separate freight and sales tax entries on Accounts Payable invoices and during the Purchase Orders receipt process. The new version also includes additional flexibility in statement printing, and improved lot tracking and sales management of lotted items.
Users can now use an add-on utility to more easily import invoice information from third-party software into the Accounts Receivable module.
